How it works:

Also known as vitamin B5, it is partly manufactured by intestinal microorganisms. This water-soluble vitamin is necessary for proper adrenal function and the conversion of fats and sugars into energy, for maintaining tissue growth and replacement, and for the development of the central nervous system. It works in conjunction with the other B vitamins. It is necessary for the production of steroid hormones and the nerve chemical transmitter acetylcholine. The body may need increased amounts when under physical stress. For best results, take pantothenic acid with other B vitamins.
